The most important thing about any startup event like an entrepreneur boot camp is always the takeaways — those nuggets of wisdom and tips for “how to” can make a big difference. Sometimes just hearing stories from people who have “been there and done that” can help lift the fog over what’s next on your own startup journey.

Well, this Friday at TechPoint’s Entrepreneur Bootcamp, the takeaways, tips and nuggets of wisdom will be plentiful coming from this startup rockstar lineup of serial entrepreneurs and subject matter experts!

Here is a listing of just some of the great takeaways you can expect from the October 10th event (THIS FRIDAY):

  1. When should you quit your day job and go full-time with your own startup?
  2. How to build the best startup team.
  3. What is the best way to deal with legal issues?
  4. Is Indiana the best home for your startup?
  5. How to scale your startup for success and rapid growth.
  6. How to make your household finances the engine behind your business.
  7. How to pay yourself a salary.
  8. How to make sure your business and your personal debt don’t intersect too much.
  9. How to recognize that it’s time to cut your losses and start over.
  10. How to make mistakes without jeopardizing the startup (or yourself).
  11. Learning what success looks like: Will you know it when you see it?
  12. What is the better structure for investors to “show you the money”? Debt vs. equity investments.
  13. Does convertible debt really delay valuation? The implications of valuation caps.
  14. What are typical terms in a Series Seed round of funding?
  15. Knowing your story and how to tell it to investors.
  16. Be prepared to quantify projected results and understand your numbers when talking to potential investors.
  17. Identify and understand the regulatory and other requirements to protect your start-up.

These 17 takeaways are just the ones we came up with in advance with some help from our scheduled speakers. Imagine the valuable takeaways you’ll get when the discussions begin and the stories start flowing. And, of course, you’ll have the rare opportunity to speak directly with many of our speakers during the “Ask the Experts” session at the end of the day.

Here’s your chance to ask our speakers anything you want to know.

Entrepreneur Bootcamp tickets technically sell out at 5 p.m. tomorrow when the price goes up, but we can add more seats or move to a bigger room if we have to. We were supposed to cut off registration at 50 people, but this lineup is great and we want to make sure that everybody who really wants to attend has a chance, so register now before the price goes up or before we reach capacity and have to shut registration down.
