Apparatus Wins Tech Company of the Year

Indianapolis based Apparatus received the Tech Company of the Year Award during TechPoint’s 16th annual Mira Awards honoring the best of tech in Indiana. Apparatus strives to simplify every point of interaction with technology for its clients by making sure it works when and how it needs to.

TCPT_Mira 2015 Badge-WinnerApparatus specializes in durable, scalable managed IT solutions backed by technological insights that deliver increasing business value to clients over time. The company’s suite of highly configurable, enterprise consulting solutions stretch across unified communications, collaboration, business intelligence, mobile, and cloud computing.

The Mira Awards judges were extremely impressed with Kore, an Apparatus platform creation that constantly monitors managed environments and addresses technological issues before apparatus’ clients ever have to get involved or know anything is even happening.

Along with the launch of Kore in 2014, Apparatus entered 24 new markets nationwide and created dozens of new jobs. Apparatus did all of this while maintaining its self-funded growth strategy.

Considering the company’s outstanding growth, including six consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies list and ranking #23 out of 501 on the MSP Mentor Managed Service Providers list, it’s easy to see why Apparatus’ 2014 performance led to its acquisition by Virtusa Corporation in April 2015.

TechPoint, Indiana’s tech ecosystem accelerator, honored 15 companies, entrepreneurs and educators on May 2, at the Mira Awards gala presented by BKD CPAs & Advisors. Mira — Latin for miracle and a variable star thousands of times brighter than the Earth’s sun — represents the best of tech in Indiana each year.

Forty-three independent, volunteer judges spent more than 700 collective hours reviewing and ranking the applications, interviewing the nominees and choosing the winners. Judges are primarily subject matter experts and experienced company founders and executives.
