Leadership and Management Development Senior Program Manager
Summary of the Role
Leadership and Management development is part of Appirio’s core strategy. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for designing and implementing classes, workshops, events, and assessments that drive Appirio’s Great Leader and Great People Manager behaviors and promote the Appirio culture and vision. In collaboration with HR, regional leadership, outside contractors and vendors, and the Learning and Development team, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for creating cohesive, integrated, and measurable Leadership Development and People Manager Development programs.
Lead, identify SMEs and instructors, and facilitate Appirio’s existing Leadership and Management workshops and events.
Collaborate with SMEs and contractors/vendors to create new programs and content that continues to develop and encourage key leadership and management behaviors.
Report on results and make recommendations on iterations or additions to the programs, content, and tools.
Create and implement assessments, surveys, and other tools to determine the effectiveness of the Leadership and Management development programs; coach and make recommendations for individual leaders on activities and content specific to their goals and areas of development.
Collaborate with HR to design an onboarding-through-promotion development and support program for people managers.
Develops and manages budgets, internal subject-matter experts, and external vendors/contracts for leadership and management development projects.
Education and Required Experience (Requirements)
This is a highly-collaborative role that requires strong communication skills, an ability to work directly with and facilitate workshops with c-level executives, a global perspective and a willingness to try out new programs, take risks, and be agile and responsive.
Experience designing and implementing leadership or management development programs or similar soft-skills/competency-based initiatives.
At least 5 years experience as a program manager or related job, preferably in HR or Learning and Development
Global perspective and ability to discover and respond to regional differences and needs
Proven ability to organize and facilitate in-person and virtual events and/or training classes
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Domestic and international travel up to 30%.
