IT Specialist (Customer Support)
◦Provides effective Information Technology (IT) support of legacy mainframe system support and assists other team members in a variety of complex technical IT problems.
◦Interacts closely with computer specialists in a team environment and integrate the work of others to ensure the continuity of ongoing systems initiatives; performs configuration and release management duties.
◦Utilizes knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL), mainframe scheduling tools, and mainframe utilities to analyze causes of system failure and to identify and implement appropriate changes; participates in system requirement reviews and testing. Analyzes, diagnoses, and recovers failed mainframe processing cycles with VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), Database and queue recovery/restore procedures.
◦Monitors and resolves production abends; analyzes, diagnoses, and recovers failed systems; provides on call support /user support as needed.
◦Evaluate IT Standard Operating Procedures to meet complex challenges of audit requirements including completing test validations, modifying existing procedures, and implementing new control objectives.
