Summary

The Business Intelligence Developer will work to design, develop and implement innovative reporting technology to support and improve the organization. The Business Intelligence Developer will design and build online analytical processing, will work to write queries and design reports and will work with the end user and be a primary contact for the end-user to assist with technical/data related questions.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate should have in-depth expertise in designing and developing ETL solutions
They should be able to execute all development activities at the direction of the Development Manager, including Pentaho Data Integration, testing, implementation and rollout, and handling post-production support
Have experience managing or scripting in Unix environments
Willing to learn new tools and technologies to be able to work effectively in a rapid growth environment with changing needs and requirements
The selected individual must be highly motivated and have skills in web development, database knowledge, and SQL experience
Ability to work with business analysts to ensure all business requirements has been met
Candidate should have a proven track record of being able to plan, prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects on time

Qualifications

Education & Specialized Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
Must have experience writing and converting complex Microsoft SQL queries
Experience in working on medium to large scale Enterprise Data Warehouse environment
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, ability to think strategically
Experience working with financial data, a plus
Able to work independently, self-motivated and a strong team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Standing, sitting, walking
Some travel may be required
