On July 26, a dozen startup experts will help equip 100 early-stage to seed-stage entrepreneurs with the skills and information they need to be successful, and catalyze the next wave of startup activity in Indiana. Entrepreneurs will also have a chance to compete for thousands of dollars in investment and services.

The day’s agenda is filled with interactive workshops that will help entrepreneurs answer five key questions about their businesses:

  1. Is my business idea any good?
  2. How do I prove that my business idea will work?
  3. How should I structure my business?
  4. How should I fund my business?
  5. How should I pitch my business to investors?

The Entrepreneur Bootcamp will close with a pitch competition, which allows entrepreneurs who want to participate to spotlight their businesses, refine their pitching skills, and compete for thousands of dollars in investment and professional services.

"With startups, speed is critical. By the end of this daylong bootcamp, 100 more entrepreneurs will go back into the trenches more prepared, more confident, and farther down the road toward vetting and ultimately launching their businesses," said Mike Langellier, president and CEO of TechPoint. "Ice Miller is a great partner to TechPoint and their support and expertise are what make the Entrepreneur Bootcamp possible."

"At one point, ExactTarget and Angie's List were idea-stage companies, and look where they are now,” said Kristine Danz, partner with Ice Miller. “We helped them prepare for that growth and avoid pitfalls along the way, and we’re excited about our continued partnership with TechPoint and this great event helping the next wave of startups succeed too.”

TechPoint's Entrepreneur Bootcamp presented by Ice Miller is on July 26, at Launch Fishers in Fishers, Ind. It is open to the first 100 people who register at www.techpoint.org. The registration fee is $75 (plus credit card processing), which covers the costs of the facility, materials, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages.

Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, Ice Miller.

And thanks to our host, Launch Fishers.
