More Signs of Tech Sector Strength, Impact on Commercial Real Estate
Jason Tolliver, regional vice president for commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley, says he see signs that Indiana is becoming a hub for e-commerce. Tolliver was a guest on the TV news program Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick this weekend.
Though the story online specifically mentions e-commerce, Tolliver and Gerry Dick talked about the growth of technology business in Indiana in general and highlighted the August announcement that IT consulting firm Knowledge Services will expand its headquarters and hire 400 workers for new jobs by 2018. It's possible Tolliver was referring not necessarily to e-commerce in strict terms, but also including drivers and accelerators of e-commerce, such as marketing tech firms, data centers and logistics companies.
The commercial real estate market in Indianapolis certainly is getting a boost from the growth and success of the tech sector. Many well-known, fast-growing tech and tech-adjacent companies recently moved into new offices — KA+A, Tinderbox, Miles Design, Blue Bridge Digital, App Press, and SmallBox to name a few.
