Want a new career in the New Year? Start here!
As the year comes to a close, many will reflect on 2019 and ponder what 2020 will bring. If your thoughts keep returning to the idea of new career, TechPoint has more than ideas for you: we have a time-tested program that could lead you to a dream career in tech sales.
Eight different cohorts have graduated from TechPoint’s Sales Bootcamp since it was first introduced in 2016. More than 90 percent of the job seekers and career changers who completed the program received and accepted full-time job offers immediately following the training.
Sales Bootcamp cohorts are small with a select group of 10 to 15 people who pay nothing but sweat equity for the intense tech sales training sessions.
This year, we’re changing things up a bit, but expect the same great training and same great results.
1: We’re shortening the Sales Bootcamp program length.
“We have a consistent record of placing 90 percent or more of our bootcampers into full-time jobs, but six weeks is a lot of time to go without a paycheck, “said Merillat Flowers, TechPoint’s Senior Director of Director of College-to-Career Talent Programs.
The Sales Bootcamp training will be just as rigorous and prepare new grads and career changers for successful careers in tech sales, but each of the sessions offered in 2020 will be four weeks long.
2: We’ll offer Sales Bootcamp three times in 2020.
“There’s a lot of demand for these great, high-paying jobs,” Merillat says. “So we want to generate as many great prospects as we can as often as we can.”
Sales Bootcamp participants are taught and mentored by Matt Nettleton, who has a decade of experience as a Sandler sales training coach and given on-the-job experience at local, fast-paced tech companies in search of new sales talent.
Graduates of TechPoint’s Sales Bootcamp have become business development representatives, customer success managers, and account executives. Many of those jobs are currently available on the TechPoint Job Board and are some of the highest in-demand careers in tech.
In addition to their daily training and work in sales, Bootcampers engage in TechPoint-directed professional networking within central Indiana’s thriving tech community and Sales Bootcamp alumni.
