3Oe Scientific won the award for Tech Product of the Year during TechPoint’s 22nd annual Mira Awards gala honoring the best of tech in Indiana.

As the world was racing to find hand sanitizer during the pandemic, 3Oe Scientific was introducing a cloud-enabled smart device called IGGY, that sanitizes hands in seven seconds using aqueous ozone, a process that was first developed right here in Indianapolis at Delta Faucet Company by one of 3Oe’s co-founders.

The Mira Awards judges love that IGGY not only meets a critical need for places like schools hospitals and office buildings, but that the product itself is sustainable and environmentally friendly. It mounts to a wall like a water fountain, only uses about half the electricity of a hair dryer, and, for example, in a single school district, eliminates 224,000 plastic bottles.

3Oe Scientific has brought to market the first major improvement in hand hygiene in decades and represents a leap forward in reducing the spread of viruses like COVID because it’s so easy to use as well as being 99.9% effective

TechPoint, the nonprofit, industry-led growth accelerator for Indiana’s tech ecosystem, honored the successes and innovation of Indiana people, places, companies and products during the 22nd annual and second virtual Mira Awards gala with presenting sponsor Salesforce.
