Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: The IT Developer (JD Edwards) is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and customizing the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system.  The role focuses on development, troubleshooting, and implementation of system improvements to meet business needs.  This Developer will partner with the JDE Sr. Business Analyst and various business units to enhance the JD Edwards system and meet business objectives across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and other business processes.  The role will also collaborate with JDE Analyst across other NTN sites to provide comprehensive support for the company’s enterprise systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ERP System Development:
  • Develop, configure, and maintain JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications based on business requirements.
  • Customize modules by designing and building features, reports, and applications to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Business Analyst and business users to design solutions that improve business processes within JD Edwards.
  • Participate in projects, including system enhancements, new module rollouts, and integration efforts.
System Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve JD Edwards related technical issues, ensuring minimal system downtime.
  • Provide end-user support, including investigating and resolving issues related to performance, data integrity, and system errors.
  • Work with external partners or internal IT teams to address complex system issues or escalate problems that require additional support.
 Data Management & Integration:
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity by developing scripts and programs for data imports, exports, and integration with other business systems or operational technologies.
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy across JD Edwards modules and external systems.
 Reporting & Data Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using reporting systems (e.g., Business Intelligence).
  • Provide insights and analysis to business leaders to help inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Documentation & Training:
  • Develop and maintain documentation for business processes, system configurations, and user manuals.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on JD Edwards functionalities and best practices.
  • Maintain requirements for SOX compliance.
Other Experience: Knowledge of RF Smart system, Plant and Equipment Maintenance, or Quality Management are a plus.               REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES: Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience considered with college-level coursework that includes 30 computer science credits and seven years of proven ERP related experience; OR ten years of ERP work experience in operations, programming and system analysis.
  Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with JD Edwards in a technical or programming capacity. (preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne)
  • Proven experience in JD Edwards within finance, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of JD Edwards tools for development, customization, and reporting.
  Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development tools, including Forms, Reports, and UBE.
  • Strong understanding of JDE E1 architecture.
  • Experience with Configurable Network Computing. (CNC)
  • Experience with database management, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards integration with external systems.
  Other Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on business needs.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on system accuracy and user satisfaction.
  • Duties as performed in a manufacturing environment and standard office setting.
  • Work in manufacturing will require safety shoes and glasses.
  • Some work may be necessary outside of a regular schedule may be required.
  • Position may be required to carry a cellular phone to respond to issues outside of normal business hours.
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Certification
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or other manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of operational technologies and their integration with JD Edwards.
  • Familiarity with security and role-based access management.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools for reporting.
  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds (e.g., IT equipment, office supplies).
  • Ability to move around office and manufacturing environments (may require safety equipment like shoes or glasses when in manufacturing areas).
  • Visual acuity to read detailed data on computer screens and printed documents.
  • Ability to travel between company sites or attend off-site meetings as needed.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business information to make informed decisions.
