Position Summary:

As a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at KSM, you are responsible for leading our company’s strategic transition from Colo and On-Prem infrastructures to modern, efficient, and secure cloud environments. Your expertise will shape the future of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the seamless deployment of microservices and serverless architectures while maintaining a strong focus on disaster recovery and business continuity. You will play a pivotal role in automating infrastructure provisioning that supports our ongoing InfraOps and DevOps initiatives. Your innovative solutions will minimize operational disruptions, promote efficiency, and meet our growing business needs.

Responsibilities:

    • Spearhead the strategic migration of existing infrastructure to cloud platforms, ensuring a streamlined transition with minimal impact on business operations.

    • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions that support the operational requirements and growth objectives of the company.

    • Develop microservices and serverless architectures for supporting various business applications and services, ensuring high performance and scalability.

    • Formulate and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the cloud infrastructure, enhancing system resilience and preparedness.

    • Employ Terraform or similar infrastructure as code (IaC) tools to automate the creation and management of cloud resources, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.

    • Actively support InfraOps and DevOps initiatives, collaborating with teams to optimize cloud resource utilization, resolve operational issues, and enhance CI/CD processes.

    • Remain at the forefront of cloud technology trends, continuously exploring and evaluating new tools and techniques to drive innovation within the cloud infrastructure space.

Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud computing, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in at least two of the three major cloud platforms.

    • Demonstrated experience in leading cloud migration projects, along with a proven ability to architect, deploy, and manage complex cloud infrastructure environments.

    • Extensive knowledge of microservices architectures and serverless technologies, with a record of developing and managing these solutions in a cloud context.

    • Solid background in disaster recovery and business continuity planning specifically within cloud environments.

    • Proficiency in using Terraform or similar infrastructure as code (IaC) tools for automating cloud infrastructure tasks.

    • Hands-on experience with InfraOps and DevOps methodologies, with a clear understanding of how to support both operational and development environments effectively.

    • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with a creative approach to designing and implementing cloud solutions that address business challenges.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of engaging with various teams and stakeholders to drive projects to successful completion.
