Event Description

Description

We hope you'll be able to join us for another DEF Bloomington event, featuring NavalX on Wednesday, October 16th at Dallara IndyCar Factory at 5:30 PM. This event features the newly launched NavalX Midwest Tech Bridge and veteran entrepreneurs and their stories. Come join us for a chance to learn more and meet other virtuous insurgents! Tickets are free, as well as hors d'oeuvres and open bar.

What:

NAVALX - Seaside chat discussing the Midwest Tech Bridge and what it means for the Midwest Defense Community.

The chat will be followed by a panel discussion from our six veteran entrepreneurs hailing from various places in the Midwest. They will touch on their time in their respective branches of the military to overcome the trials, tribulations, and bureaucracy, that ultimately led them to be the successful entrepreneurs they are today.

Featured speakers include:

Monica Hutchins, Regional Director, NavalX Midwest Tech Bridge

Sara Hamidovic, Founder and President, VET Engineering

Dennis Wikoff, President, Vertex Solutions

Dan Marion, Chief Marketing Officer, JJR Solutions

Tony Vespa, Founder of Vespa Group

Scott Hargate, Department of Navy Intrepreneur/NavalX

Rich Banta, Lifeline Data.

The Defense Entrepreneurs Forum is a non-profit network of problem solvers in the military, government and private sector that work together to increase innovation and support disruptive thinkers in the national security space. The mission of DEF is "Inspire - Connect - Empower" and involves not only monthly gatherings around the world, but periodic DEFx events, an annual conference, and ongoing collaboration via Slack, Facebook and LinkedIn.

If you are a military member, work in government, are an entrepreneur focused on national security, or find the idea of helping solve tough problems enticing, then DEF's monthly Drink & Thinks are a great way to learn more.
