The Indy Big Data Conference, 2016 is appropriately tagged as the “tipping point.”Defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as “the critical point in a situation, process, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place.” The tipping point, is where the 2016 Indy Big Data Conference Advisory Committee and all the experts agree, big data finds itself today.
The tipping point for big data means that not only must we change the way we do things, such as make decisions; we must also learn to think differently. Instead of emotional decision-making, we must be asking ourselves what big data sets do we have available to pull from in order to make those decisions. Or perhaps, what data do we need to begin capturing in order to decide?

This year’s Conference will be focused on:

  • Creating a big data culture of success and exploring topics such as thinking and doing things differently than you or your organization have ever done before
  • Taking a look at the new tools and technologies that have hit the market
  • Thoughts and perspectives about how you should prepare and manage the massive onslaught of information that is coming our way through the Internet of Things (IoT).

Featured speakers include:

  • Valentino Tereshko, Big Data Leader, Google Cloud
  • Bino John, Computational Biology Group Leader, DowAgro Sciences
  • Titus Schleyer, Research Scientist, Regenstreif Institute Inc.
  • Todd G. Vare, Trial & Appellate Lawyer, Barnes & Thornburg LLP
