Topic: How to scale from an “in-the-kitchen operation" to big box retail
What started as a simple request from her 7- year old daughter to be part of their local Farmer's Market turned into a small batch, handmade, successful business which now supplies bath and body products to over 40 stores including a large, national retail chain. Two years into business and quickly outgrowing her home kitchen, Julie looked for local property that would allow her to open a brick and mortar shop and incorporate several kitchens into the space. She knew once she could get the business out of her house she would be able to bring in additional help and production would increase rapidly. Growing her business by securing more retail store locations, opening her own retail store, ramping up her online store and traveling to select pop up markets has allowed Julie continued growth each and every year. At this Startup Study Hall, she'll share her process and provide advice on how to scale your business and give it plenty of room to grow.
