Product Documentation & Media Specialist

Brief Summary of Role
Appirio R&D designs and builds the world-class tools that our 2000+ employees and 4,000+ customers rely on to manage hundreds of concurrent projects. The Product Documentation & Media Specialist (PDMS) will create and update documentation, videos, presentations, knowledge base articles and training modules that teach our consultants and customers how to use our tools and methodologies to deliver successful Worker and Customer experiences. The Product Documentation & Media Specialist will work closely with R&D’s Product Management and Software Development teams to proactively prepare and update documentation, videos and other learning materials to support training, onboarding and software releases.
Responsibilities: Specific areas of concentration include:
Maintain repositories of documentation, FAQs, wiki pages, and videos.
Work with different teams to gather and understand necessary content for software product documentation, user manuals and user support documentation
Create, manage and refresh software product documentation including FAQs, internal wikis, user manuals, knowledge base articles, etc.
Script, narrate, screen-capture and produce short professional videos demonstrating product features
Work with Sales and Marketing teams to create and refresh high-quality sales collateral and presentations for use with customers and prospects
Work with Product Manager and Software Development teams to prepare documentation and video updates in conjunction with software release cycles
Create, manage and refresh internal and external training materials
Develop training paths for onboarding and feature-specific learning paths
Develop an internal certification program for software applications
Ability to become a subject-matter expert in the use of our software products
Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Fanatical about grammar, spelling and writing style
Effectively collaborate with multiple implementation team types (Product Management, Change Management, Software Development, Sales, Marketing, Learning & Development)
Enthusiastic, professional, and confident personality

Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Required Experience (Requirements)
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience
3+ years experience writing informative product documentation, training materials, presentations and other materials
Experience creating videos demonstrating software features or equivalent
Detail-oriented and quality-driven
Strong presentation and communication skills
