Job Description

The person hired for the position of vCIO will enjoy a variety of tasks in a great team environment. They will be primarily responsible for the full sales lifecycle as it pertains to the current and future customer base of the company. This position must work with active customers and new customers to provide solutions by developing a thorough understanding of their business and technology needs. The vCIO will work with an implementation team to onboard new customers.

The vCIO position provides guidance to our clients that aligns technology with their strategic business goals. Activities include participation in sales calls, designing technology solutions based on clients’ specific needs, conducting network discoveries, directing client on-boarding, participation in relationship management, compiling and leading scheduled technology reviews, developing technology roadmap, presenting at events and occasionally providing technical support.

The vCIO coordinates with the implementation team and performs related tasks such as:

-Perform network assessment for the client and review products/service components.
-Manage, retain, and build new relationships within customer base.
-Facilitate meetings and technology strategy sessions with clients.
-Recommend capabilities within the evolving cloud-based product portfolio.
-Accountable for revenue targets driven by sales activity and account retention.
-Continuously advise clients on technology trends and opportunities within their environments.
-Work with active customers to develop a deep understanding of their needs and translate those needs into product requirements that satisfy their demands
-Cross-selling and up-selling services and solutions to existing accounts
-Qualify new sales opportunities for current customers
-Perform business interviews with prospective clients
-Receive requests for service and products details from customers and provide timely responses
-Conduct onsite or online presentations that showcase the services and products of the company to active customers
-Work with management to develop proposals, quotes and respond to RFP/RFI documents
-Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations throughout the lifecycle of the account
-Manage the complexity of Managed IT services proposals, contracts and service level agreements
-Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company
-Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities in Grade A’s CRM system and remain compliant with defined policies and procedures
-Achieve and maintain a positive rapport with prospects and work to give them the best possible service.


-Outside sales experience with selling any of the following: IT services and products, managed IT services, or IT consulting
-Possess a track record of managing the customer commitment, negotiation, and closed of the sales process
-Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
-Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
-High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
-Proficient with general office applications
-Strong organizational, presentation, time management, and customer service skills
-Skill in preparing written communications and materials
-Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
-Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
-Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry
-Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
-Experience with Cisco Unified Wireless including configuration of wireless LAN controllers is desirable
-Valid driver’s license
-Self-Starter/Self Directed individual that leads with high energy and passion for customer service
-The person hired for the position will require the ability to travel to customer locations
-Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, other language abilities are a plus
-Ability to work with cross functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines
-Ability to engage and influence others
-Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraints
-Ability to understand and apply analytical and statistics tools
-Results oriented with strong process and execution skills
