Do you like helping people of all backgrounds understand advanced technical ideas? We’re searching for a Technical Writer to author, edit, and review product documentation. As a member of the product management team, you’ll work closely with engineering, QA, and support to create resources that don’t just document what the product does, but help a user go from novice to power user. The tools you build will create a powerful impact on customer performance and adoption.
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
Produce high-quality documentation that translates complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
Provide input on user interface text.
Evaluate existing and potential content, and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
Use a content management system (CMS) to maintain and manage the lifecycle of technical documentation
Monitor metrics on the usage of training materials as well as direct customer feedback to prioritize future training investments.
Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Superior written and verbal communications and experience working with content in multiple mediums.
Experience working cross-departmentally to communicate the nuts and bolts of a product.
A passion for learning, positive attitude, and willingness to jump in and tackle new challenges.
Familiarity with API documentation for REST API is a plus but not required.
