Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an Accountant (Financial) Analyst with 3-5 years' experience to join our team. In this role, you will lead our accounting and finance function while designing and implementing best practices to position ClearObject for future growth.

Our ideal candidate has proven skill in connecting day-to-day business activities to sustainable financial growth. You not only know and manage the “what,” you are driven by the “why” and “how” to achieve success.

In this role, you will:

Perform month and year-end closing activities. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information. Manage bookkeeping functions including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reporting including internal financial reporting, e.g. operational and financial KPI’s, departmental reporting, project margin, and revenue analysis.

Budget and forecast preparation including preparing the annual budget in collaboration with department leadership.

Manage payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cross-functional coordination.

Partner with the certified public audit firm to ensure timely completion of financial statement audit, year-end tax returns, state tax compliance, recording of deferred taxes, etc.

Support the sales process by reviewing SOWs to ensure alignment with billing and revenue recognition. Track and report on revenue backlog resulting from subscription agreements.

Provide accurate and timely reporting, as required in response to financial requests from internal and external stakeholders, providing ad hoc analysis as needed.

Responsible for production of the weekly and month-end financial reporting of sales, revenue, gross margin, and other key metrics of success in our business.

Provide financial analysis and variance commentary.

Key player in the implementation of a new ERP system, especially in the area of architecting reports that will replace the current "manual" processes.

Skills

Working knowledge and adherence to US GAAP.
Familiarity with fundamental principles of accounting, revenue, profit, and cost optimization.
Exceptional analytical skills and strong ability to navigate & query multiple data systems for analytics and reporting.
Excellent proficiency in Excel and the necessary mechanisms to aggregate data from multiple sources to provide consolidated views of our business.
Broad business acumen, understanding of business processes, business models, and functions with the capability to drive changes needed for continued growth across all functions of the business.
Known for precision and completeness of work.
Experience with Netsuite and Business Intelligence Software e.g. PowerBI or Data Studio is a plus
Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams within a matrix management structure.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
