Job Description

Clinical Architecture is seeking a Clinical QA Analyst in the Indianapolis, IN area who will be responsible for development of clinical data test cases used for validating software applications. The Clinical QA Analyst additionally will perform software testing using clinical workflows to validate that the software meets product requirements as well as real-world clinical scenarios. The Clinical QA Analyst will utilize his / her clinical knowledge and expertise to provide clinical insight and use case support across the department.

Responsibilities

Able to evaluate and interpret software requirements, resulting in the ability to apply real world workflows and use cases.
Apply clinical knowledge and expertise to create clinical test cases and scenarios for software testing based on requirements.
Apply clinical knowledge and expertise while performing manual software testing.
Cross-departmental collaboration in projects and discussions to share, interpret, and apply clinical information to software.
Team collaboration to proactively identify solutions to problems or issues.
Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical people, both oral and written.
Ability to execute manual test cases for software applications.
Ability to create clear and accurate defects, ensuring all steps to recreate defects are captured.
Ability to understand complex software applications and systems.
Qualifications and Experience

Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program, with active LPN licensure, is minimum requirement.
Experience in Nursing, with active RN licensure, or other clinical discipline is preferred.
2+ years of experience in clinical and / or information technology field serving as an analyst required.
Strong knowledge of patient care in a clinical setting with EHR use and implementation.
Breadth of knowledge across medical specialties a plus.
Understanding of software applications; review / retrieval; documentation and display of data, a plus.
Understanding of test life cycle and testing techniques, a plus.
Understanding of standard medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNORM etc.) and data exchange standards (e.g., HL7 / FHIR), a plus.
Familiarity with usage of clinical decision support systems and / or clinical data analytics.
