Job Description

Examines and verifies a wide variety of pay action documents for completeness, accuracy, propriety, and conformance to regulatory and statutory requirements.

Process a variety of actions which establish, adjust and close civilian payroll accounts of serviced Federal Government employees and prepare and balance a variety of payroll reports.

Establish, maintain and review financial records to include: payroll, time and leave records, payment vouchers, Thrift Savings Plan, health benefits, deaths, resignations, retirements, debt management, security resets, and reconciliations.

Processes actions to collect overpayment or indebtedness.

Codes and inputs pay information into the system and perform corrective actions.

Provides guidance to employees, supervisors, financial management specialists, and personnel specialists regarding rules, regulations, and procedures related to pay.
