Job Description

Responsibilities

•Identifies recurring systems problems encountered in payroll processing, recommends solutions, and modifies procedures as appropriate
•Performs debt calculations by analyzing multiple source documents and provides them to customers and employees
•Reviews recurring reports and customer requests to identify and process pay and debt issues that require extensive research, involving uncommon circumstances
•Researches employee debt issues based on inquiries that include special pay requests, validating and requesting changes to service computation dates, advising supervisors on overtime requests, resolving issues regarding debt letters
•Reconciles civilian pay debts through comparison of source documents and DCPS output reports
•Prepares briefings and reports for senior management, provides training to staff members, and modifies and creates standard operating procedures, desk references, etc
•For positions filled at less than the full performance level, the duties will be developmental in nature
