Job Description

Manage and serve as a technical authority/subject matter expert (SME) for Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) regarding enterprise-wide information systems audit readiness, audit support, and audit sustainment.

Provide technical oversight of the DFAS enterprise Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) program to include independent and objective assessments, audits, reviews, and evaluations.

Instill quality assurance and quality control concepts and processes for Managers? Internal Control Program (MICP).

Support the integration of FISCAM; National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 (Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Orgs); DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Controls integration.

Develop, manage, and implement detailed project plans including tasks, schedules, milestone dates, resource requirements and communications plan.

Develop and employ tools and methods to track progress throughout the project and ensure schedules and objectives are accomplished according to milestones.

Uses managerial techniques and quantitative analysis to monitor work in progress and evaluate the status and progress of work.

Develop long-range plans for agency information systems security, which anticipates, identifies, evaluates, mitigates, and minimizes risks associated with information systems vulnerabilities.

Cover aspects and disciplines of the information systems architecture of the agency requiring internal and external coordination and integration of work which is often urgent and of high importance to senior leadership in DFAS and DoD.

Serves as a Supervisory IT Project Manager for the Information and Technology Directorate, responsible for management and operational control over many challenging and complex IT projects in the Agency.

Provide oversight of database administration, web administration, Business Intelligence, Release Management, Configuration Management, technology innovation and communication principles, in support of Information Systems.
