Looking to be a champion for and change the game in smart home product development? Delta Faucet Company has an opportunity for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Connected Water Product Team and help deliver the next generation of product features and technology to our customers. This person will have the opportunity to architect, design, code, and test new algorithms; collaborate with multi-functional teams; and coordinate with suppliers to launch new electronic products to the market. Work on the Connected Water team to develop and integrate IOT solutions for our next generation products.
Possess and demonstrates sophisticated knowledge in a specialized field and broad knowledge of several related teams within a function.
Individual contributor with opportunity to lead day-to-day direction and oversight of other employees. Will work under general supervision.
Contribute and own the design of firmware algorithms, including drivers, applications, and test suites. Ability to mentor and review firmware code of others.
Ability to collaborate, influence, and work within a team environment.
Ability to relate to others, demonstrate resourcefulness, and flexibility, and an active participate in the way we make decisions.
Ability to solve problems and lead others in resolving problems.
Participate on multiple projects at a time with specific tasks and objectives.
Provide technical leadership on multi-functional teams and contractors.
First point of contact within engineering with external customer. Lead customer presentations.
Mentorship provided by manager. Some projects assigned by manager, some sought out by employee.
Proven interpersonal and written communication skills. Proactive in generating reports and preparing seminars.
Can quickly assess a problem and identify the key technical issues. Bases decisions on fundamental engineering principles and has a firm understanding of how the principles apply to the problem. Has an understanding of the assumptions involved and accounts for the added risks.
Education & Experience:

An engineering or computer science bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
5+ years of proven experience in new product development, R&D, sustaining or other relevant field.
Master programming in C and/or C++ Language. Mentoring teammates.
Proficiency in writing detailed unit and functional tests cases. Mentoring teammates.
Proficiency in firmware development tools, such as Visual Studio Code (or other IDEs) and Azure Dev Ops. Mentoring teammates.
Experience working with designs including Capacitive touch, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, Z-Wave, and/or Thread.
Knowledge and familiarity of low power embedded designs and communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, and USB.
Increased understanding of Firmware Architecture.
Self-starter and ability to take initiative to maintain project schedules.
