DeveloperTown is a software design and development consultancy. We have a small but mighty API team and are looking to add a Discipline Lead to our team. This is a hands-on technical Application Development Manager role, responsible to lead and manage a small team that delivers applications that are used daily to execute world-class operations for our clients. Our team continually innovates to deliver digital solutions to support complex, dynamic systems.
Develop relationships with current DeveloperTown team members and clients.
Manage performance goals and business needs for consultants that you manage
Plan, develop and implement new systems and ensure proper functioning of existing systems.
Resolve any issues and take preventive actions and maintain team culture
Evaluate performance of team members, provide feedback and prepare appraisals.
Review and manage training requests and income for team members.
Collaborate with application management on defining project objectives, resource planning, allocation, and support for projects.
Consult API Team Manager on serious concerns and issues relating to application resource utilization.
Participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle.
Provide maintenance and support to all applications assigned.
Maintain good technical knowledge to provide direction to the development process.
Manage requirements for reports development and create progressive environment.
Ensure implementation of company procedures and policies and act as a medium of communication for the company.
Provide means of escalation of issues between departments and project team.
Communicate with the Engagement Managers regularly and build strong relationships and help provide top-notch customer support services.
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of application architecture and architecture constructs as it connects to the enterprise architecture.
Demonstrate mastery of the application development domain areas and multiple technologies and toolsets.
Demonstrate mastery of software engineering.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
3-5 years of technical lead/management experience in an application development setting
At least 1-2 years of technical experience working on AWS native technology stack
Experience with .net core, node js, or kotlin micronaut
Excellent full-stack technical skills
Strong understanding of development best practices, design patterns, and standards and how to apply them
Exceptional program and people management skills
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Proven track record of ownership and delivery
Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present ideas to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplined team
A passion for details and quality in delivery
Strong planning and organizational skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the requirement of sponsorship/Visa.
