DeveloperTown is looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for building and owning the sales pipeline, owning revenue targets, understanding customer needs, communicating the value DeveloperTown brings to clients, and closing new business.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role selling software-consulting services is required.
Responsibilities:
Build professional and trusting relationships with prospects, customers, and DeveloperTown team members
Build sales pipeline by generating, qualifying, and cultivating leads.
Develop quarterly and weekly sales plans.
Manage leads, prospects, and opportunities in HubSpot
Assist with and responds to RFQ, RFPs, and RFIs
Deliver presentations to educate prospects on DeveloperTown’s value
Ensure timely follow-up with prospective clients
Maintain a solid line of communications with existing customers, proactively understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to solve problems
Help clients with the development of cost-benefit analyses for potential projects
Work with legal and procurement teams of prospects and help close all sales-related paperwork
Help transition new closed business from sales/pre-sales to professional services
Communicate client requirements to internal teams
Provide market feedback based on customer trends and needs
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
Travel as necessary
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
5+ years of recent sales experience selling software consulting services
Proven track record in selling consulting services
Necessary Skills / Characteristics
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to be consultative, understand customers’ business problems, think creatively, and propose solutions
Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Self-starter, able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
Flexible for travel
Experience creating proposals and preparing sales pipeline reports
*This is a hybrid opportunity and will require onsite work at the DeveloperTown office.
