The Development Team is a talented team of experienced designers working together to solve technology problems. Our Product Designers at DeveloperTown work on many different design projects, have a broad range of experience and love technical challenges. As a collaborative team, individual Product Designers are able to have a significant impact on the product, the team, and our clients.
Senior Product Designers at DeveloperTown require little direct guidance but an eagerness to collaborate and share ideas. This position requires a sufficient level of experience, a passion for solving IT problems, and a desire to overcome technical challenges.
You should be familiar with:
5+ years of UX/Product design experience
2+ years of consulting experience
An understanding of business metrics and ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate ideas to developers and product owners
A proven ability to create compelling experiences on both web and mobile
Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to create a scalable Design System from scratch
Understanding of user-centered design best practices
High degree of expertise with Figma, Miro, Principal and other tools of the trade
Understand enough code to know how to design features that can actually be built and know when to leverage specific technologies
Ability to show and defend your process
Degree in Informatics, visual design, or equivalent experience
Not afraid to be opinionated and create an informed perspective from data
Nice to have:
A technical leader, an early adopter of technology.
Self-starter, with a strong sense of ownership of internal and client startups.
Passion outside of UX design that could enhance our team capabilities (Front end coding, Branding, Illustration, Copywriting, Psychology, Analytics, Ethnography, Etc.)
You'll be able to:
Understand: product specifications and user psychology
Research: persona development, competitive analysis, analytic analysis, journey mapping, service blueprints, user interviews, and field visits.
Design great user experiences and the interaction designs necessary to meet the needs of both the users and the business.
Transform static designs into interactive prototypes.
Drive user testing activities in order to collect feedback from customers and iterate designs.
Present and defend design decisions with clients based on data.
Create and define design systems and components libraries.
Actively participate in agile ceremonies like planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Have a meaningful impact on the company's future, and share in the rewards accordingly
Work on a product that impacts many users
Craft sustainable IT solutions
Work in a fun, fast-paced collaborative environment
Critical thinker, ready to debate the merits of technology approaches, application designs, and business plans
