What you will do:

Develop scalable web-based applications
Create functional and technical designs based on end user requirements
Participate in the development of AcceleRate, myShipINFO and other proprietary products as a member of a collaborative team
Oversee server and database health and participate in maintenance activities
Analyze and report on system scalability requirements
Perform testing of the overall application
Manage day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision and complete deliverables in a timely fashion

What you will bring:

1-3 years’ development experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Strong Java development skills and an understanding of application architecture and design
Strong web development skills in HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, DHTML or AngularJS
An understanding of the full software development life-cycle including agile development, test-driven development and continuous integration
Solid SQL knowledge and the ability to design and interact with relational databases using SQL and ORM technologies
Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies and advocate for emerging technologies that will enhance the existing environment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral formats all information
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
