Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Analyze and interpret patient, nursing, or information systems data to assess the need for clinical information systems to support Healthcare professionals and improve nursing services.
Assist in the development of standards for the clinical information system; translate nursing practice information between nurses and systems engineers, analysts, or designers using object-oriented models or other techniques.
Coordinate and lead planning and delivery of education for all staff regarding system changes or upgrades; provide initial and ongoing education to ensure proper utilization of clinical information systems.
Participate in Corporate IT projects.
Assess facility and/or end users for the application or implementation readiness and develop plans on how to ensure appropriate readiness levels.
Troubleshoot computerized applications or documentation and access issues; repair as appropriate or refer to IS for assistance.
Assist in the development, installation, and implementation of automated documentation systems.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Associates degree in Nursing required, Bachelors preferred
RN license required.
At least (3) three years of nursing/patient care experience required.
Business Objects application experience preferred.
Basic computer software, hardware, and communication devices to perform tasks.
Make decisions and use judgement in ambiguous situations.
Familiarity with Epic or other EMR system beneficial.
Critically evaluate and analyze information in written materials.
Solve problems by analyzing information and using logic to address issues and problems.
Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.
