WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A computer security specialist is an integral part of our IS team. This is the role that assists in defining and assessing our organization's security strategy, architecture and practices. Evaluating new services, vendors, applications and security tools, this is a job that requires someone who is prompt, precise and professional. Think you’ve got what it takes?

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Coordinate with the privacy officer to document data flows of sensitive information in the organization and recommend controls to ensure that this date is adequately secured.
Validate IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable.
Validate security configurations and access to security infrastructure tools, including firewalls IPSs, WAFs and anti-malware/endpoint protection systems.
Support the testing and validation of internal security controls.
Develop and maintain a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat divers.
Determine baseline security configuration standards for operating systems (e.g., OS hardening), network segmentation, and identity and access management.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
7 or more years’ experience in Information Security.
CISSP Certification required. Additional Security and/or Operational Certifications desired.
Broad experience in the following Security domains: Network Security, System & Data Security, Identity & Access Management and Application Security.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols.
Hands-on experience in one of more of the following: Web Proxies, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, Network Access Control, Anti-Malware, Encryption, Data Loss Prevention, and Static or Dynamic Code Scanning.
Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
Strong knowledge of Industry “Best Practices” and laws relating to data privacy and protection.
High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to conduct research into security issues and products as required.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Strong organizational, oral communication and project management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience working with, and presenting to, executive level management.
