As a Java Web Service Developer on our Single View of the Customer (SVOC) initiative at the Indy Center of Excellence, you will expose data as a service using cutting edge technology to integrate with other applications and allow GEICO to use data to provide tailored interactions for our customers.
When you first join our SVOC team you will have the opportunity to go through our new Big Data Academy! This Academy will give you exposure to the cutting-edge technology that we use to develop SVOC, and prepare you with the skills needed to hit the ground running.
•At least 2 years of programing experience in Java and web services
•Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
•Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences
•A Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent professional experience is required
•Experience in building Service Oriented Architecture applications
•Experience with GraphQL and Docker
•Continuous Integration (CI) using Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins and Container based deployments
•Tuning and monitoring using Dynatrace or Splunk
