High Alpha is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the High Alpha marketing team and work side-by-side with our early-stage portfolio companies to help them get their marketing programs off the ground.
You’re an experienced marketer with the ability to apply your marketing expertise across a broad spectrum of content marketing, email marketing, social media, events, and digital marketing.
You have a passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and SaaS marketing.
You are a voracious learner and desire to be continually challenged and learning new skills as the marketing discipline constantly evolves.
You regularly roll up your sleeves to execute on a plan, doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
You’re flexible and comfortable with change and ambiguity involved in early-stage startups.
You have a clear point of view on the role of marketing in an early-stage startup and can bring some of your own best practices, experiences, and processes to complement the High Alpha marketing team.

What You’ll Do
Act as a strategic marketing partner to many different High Alpha portfolio companies, helping get their marketing programs off the ground.
Create and execute different High Alpha portfolio companies’ strategic marketing plans.
Be responsible for the early brand and content marketing programs at High Alpha’s newest portfolio companies, including launching websites, writing blogs, developing content downloads/ebooks, writing advertising copy, creating email newsletters, developing conference strategies, and more.
Advise marketing leaders in the High Alpha portfolio on best practices, marketing processes, team structure, and more.
You will also work on many “High Alpha” brand and marketing projects, events, and campaigns.
You will report directly to the High Alpha Director of Marketing, but work often with portfolio company CEOs and marketing leaders.
Experience and Skills to Excel in this Role
2-5 years experience working in marketing.
You have some experience in SaaS software marketing.
You have experience working with Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Wordpress (or similar marketing tech stacks).
You are deeply analytical and feel comfortable regularly reporting on results. You might even describe yourself as a data-driven marketer.
You've written copy more than once for a new website launch, product launch, sales deck, or company launch.
You have a clear and concise writing style.
You regularly take initiative and have worked on at least 1 work project that no one asked you to take on and crushed it.
You've successfully launched a company, new product, or campaign and can point back to specific success metrics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
