High AlphaMarketing 3-5 Years

Job Description

High Alpha is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the High Alpha marketing team and lead all marketing efforts around the High Alpha brand. This is an opportunity to take the established High Alpha brand and position us as the premier venue for early-stage SaaS entrepreneurs and startups in the country.

About You
You’re an experienced marketer who brings strategic marketing expertise and direction along with the ability to get your hands dirty and execute on your own.
You are an excellent writer, storyteller, and communicator — whether it’s through short-form content, emails, long-form blog posts, videos, or podcasts.
You have a broad spectrum of experience in content marketing, email marketing, events, digital marketing, websites, and social media.
You have a passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and SaaS.
You are a voracious learner and desire to be continually challenged by learning new skills.
You regularly roll up your sleeves to execute on a plan, doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
You’re flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and like to wear many different hats.
Why You’ll Love This Opportunity
You’ll have the opportunity to help lead the brand strategy for High Alpha as the creator of the venture studio model and leader in the venture studio category.
You’ll be challenged to learn and become an expert in many different marketing disciplines, giving you the ability to excel in whatever marketing career path you continue down.
You’ll have a front-row seat to High Alpha’s process for conceiving, launching, and scaling world-class B2B software companies, taking an active part in our quarterly Sprint Weeks.
You will be the public face for the High Alpha brand and marketing, leading PR, comms, and events for a $100M+ venture studio and fund.
You’ll be part of a culture that emphasizes learning, growth, and dreaming big.
You will stretch yourself to think creatively, strategically, and tactically on a day-to-day basis.
What You’ll Do
Create and execute the High Alpha strategic marketing plan, maintaining existing high-performing programs and pitching new, creative programs to launch.
Lead High Alpha brand and marketing initiatives, including events, content marketing, email marketing, direct mail, web and digital marketing, and PR and communications.
You will own the High Alpha editorial calendar for content, emails, events, announcements, and social media.
Run all of High Alpha’s internal and external events (Speaker Series, Flight Schools, Annual LP Meeting, CEO Summit, and more), including event communications, planning, setup/teardown, logistics, swag, etc.
You will own the High Alpha digital presence, content, and voice on and all social platforms.
You will be responsible for High Alpha email marketing programs, including internal and external newsletters, event communications, investor communications, and more.
You will be responsible for writing and producing blog articles, videos, SEO-focused content, and other content that promotes High Alpha thought leadership and brand.
You will help own High Alpha’s direct mail programs, swag, and experiential marketing, a core part of what makes High Alpha unique.
You will develop and maintain a PR drumbeat for High Alpha, developing headlines and story angles, building relationships with reporters, writing press releases, and proactively pitching High Alpha stories to the media.
Be a trusted advisor to the marketing teams within the High Alpha portfolio.
You will report directly to the High Alpha Director of Marketing, but will work closely with the rest of the marketing team and High Alpha design team.
4-8 years of experience working in marketing.
You have some experience in SaaS software marketing.
You have experience working with Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Wordpress (or similar marketing tech stacks).
You've written copy more than once for a website, product launch, or sales deck.
You have a clear and concise writing style with strong written and verbal communication skills.
You are a detail-oriented person.
You regularly take initiative and have worked on at least one work project that no one asked you to take on (and crushed it).
You are analytical and feel comfortable working in spreadsheets and reporting on marketing performance.
You have familiarity with Google Optimize and Google Search Console with a high-level understanding of SEO strategy.
Familiarity or experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Sketch is a plus.
