Senior Network Engineer – Indianapolis Office

ANGI Homeservices operates 10 brands in eight countries, and is headquartered in Golden, Colo. The Senior Network Engineer will sit in our Indianapolis office.
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for administration and deployment of the enterprise’s overall network systems. Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies. The position requires staying on top of industry trends and new technologies for the system architecture. The supported environment is mixed Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto, the successful candidate will be familiar with all of the above-mentioned platforms.
Configure, upgrade, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the enterprise network
Create and design new changes to the network to support the business
Work cross-department and cross-organizations to resolve network issues
Troubleshoot firewall issues
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Work with security to maintain PCI compliance for the network
Configure and administer VPN connections
Configure and administer 2 factor authentication systems
Configure and administer corporate wireless (Cisco)
Configure and administer all network switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco/Juniper)
Bring up new circuits
Monitor all parts of the network
Network forecasting and capacity planning
Network upgrades to fix bugs and security holes
Train and assist junior administrators, desktop support, and tier 1 NOC techs
Create and manage projects
Create and administer load balancer (F5)
Create and maintain network diagrams
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and Specifies and purchases new hardware and software.
On-call rotation: Some evenings, overnight, and weekend work will periodically be for deployments and releases. This position periodically serves on a 24-hour on call rotating schedule.
Possession of an undergraduate degree in computer information technology, computer science, or related degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a technical environment with familiarity in computer hardware and software.
Cisco and Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco and Juniper route/switch, Red Hat and/or Ubuntu Linux, F5 load balancer.
Strong Cisco and or Palo Alto (routing and switching) background
Strong Cisco and or Juniper (firewall) background
Experience with VPN’s and 2-factor authentication systems
Experience with maintaining PCI compliance
Maintain software licensing.
Ability to effectively mentor technical staff and provide team leadership in the development of systems and process.
Advanced technical knowledge in computer hardware and software
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Experience with enterprise wireless, specifically Cisco systems
Ability to carry computers and other technical equipment, to walk between buildings and floors, and to sit the entire work day viewing a computer monitor.
