The Systems Administrator is responsible for all aspects of information systems administration including servers, workstations, printers, applications, end-user support and internal customer service.
The Systems Administrator will:
1.Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, research questions using available information resources, and advise/guide users on appropriate action.
2.Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention to the appropriate person.
3.Investigation and implementation of new software technology as needed to meet the needs of the IHTC.
4.Administer Help Desk software, track and route problems and requests, and document resolutions.
5.Respond promptly to requests for technical assistance through the Help Desk support system.
6.Image, deploy, and support end-user hardware.
7.Provide on-call support.
8.Support server operating systems and system software.
9.Monitor system resources to pro-actively address issues or quickly resolve unforeseen issues.
10.Assist with individual and center-wide software, hardware and communication installations as directed.
11.Register and train new employees to use the Center’s biometric access system.
12.Administer mobile device management.
The Systems Administrator must have a minimum Associate’s degree in related field, and a minimum of 5 years related experience. The alternative to the minimum education requires a minimum of 8 years of experience.
This position will require occasional travel to outreach clinics throughout the state of Indiana; therefore, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance is required.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, diagnostic utilities, Windows Server 2012/2016, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, VMware, VEEAM, XenApp, Cisco ASA, basic networking, Cisco Communications Manager and Cisco Unity. The candidate will also have knowledge of troubleshooting and operating computer equipment. The candidate will be able to effectively organize tasks and have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. They will have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, be a team player with effective interpersonal skills, the ability to solve problems and work independently.
