Job Summary/Basic Function: Identifying and addressing student needs by providing services to aid students who have experienced violence, including but not limited to sexual violence, relationship violence, harassment, and stalking. This position serves as ISU’s Lead Victim Advocate. It is a confidential resource that oversees the continuum of care for survivors of sexual and gender violence and provides information on the resources and options available for victims on campus and beyond. In the role of Lead Victim Advocate, the Assistant Director manages the volunteer victim advocates and the on-call rotation, which will include some on-call responsibilities. The AD directs and collaborates on the creation of sexual and gender violence prevention programming, including bystander intervention. The AD serves as a member of the Sycamores Care team and has responsibility for assisting students in crisis. Additionally, the Assistant Director will provide additional support, when needed, to the functions of the office related to serving students with (dis)abilities and addressing accessibility on campus.

Required Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Counseling, Social Work, Human Services or closely related field, and 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
