Job Summary/Basic Function: This position in the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology Management (AETM) at Indiana State University includes primary teaching responsibilities in the Automotive Engineering Technology (AET) program such as automotive drive trains, automotive chassis, body control systems, engine fuels and lubricants, engine thermodynamics, advanced vehicle technologies, and advanced automotive electronics and computer management. The AET courses are primarily delivered in on-campus, lab-based format. The ideal candidate will also be qualified to teach in one or more areas within the undergraduate through Ph.D. programs within and related to the AETM Dept., by distance and on-campus methods. Teaching will include undergraduate and graduate courses (including distance education courses), and assuming a leadership role in the Automotive Engineering Technology degree program and associated minors. Other responsibilities include serving on university committees, curriculum development/improvement, advising students academically, performing appropriate scholarly research, and professional service within the guidelines of the University.

Required Education: Doctorate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in Automotive or Mechanical or closely related field. Doctorate degree must be completed by the employment start date. One degree must be in Engineering or Engineering Technology in Automotive or Mechanical or a closely related field.
