Job Summary/Basic Function: This position is responsible for creating and enhancing bibliographic and authority data for materials, both physical and digital, acquired by ISU Library. Performs work at the advanced operational, supervisory, or specialist level. Work requires frequent application of a limited professional knowledge of library practices and procedures. Stays current with changes in the library practices and procedures by monitoring listservs and attending department meetings and appropriate training sessions. Communicates well in person, over the phone and via electronic mail; possesses good interpersonal skills, including tact, courtesy and civility, in accordance with the Library’s mission, vision and values; and uses good judgment in communicating and collaborating with others, for example to analyze and resolve catalog problems and patron service issues.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in library science or related field and 3 years of library or relevant experience.
