Analyze, design, install, configure, maintain, and repair the network infrastructure and application components.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4 years);
Required Experience: 3-4 Years; Experience with TCP/IP networking and internet technologies, switch and router installation and configuration. Experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment supporting greater than 500 users. Experience with current network hardware and peripheral equipment. Experience in determining network problems and coordinating hardware and/or software solutions. Experience interpreting data on system usage and developing engineering specifications to support changing service levels. Ability to independently lead selected efforts in designing and coordinating the installation of high-speed data networks. Experience with a variety of network architectures, configuration, protocols, and inter-connectivity requirements for internal/external information transmission. Experience applying the use engineering techniques in the design of network and transmission systems. Experience related to the interpretation and application of broad regulatory standards and technical specifications to assignments.
Required Fields of Study: Electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent.
