Job Summary/Basic Function: Provides leadership, guidance, and expertise in support of Indiana State University Computing Technology, including computing systems, storage systems, servers, and centralized desktop management tools. This position oversees the end-to-end integration of both on-premises and cloud-based information systems and services to maximize performance, resiliency, and security. This oversight includes local and cloud-based components, systems, services, and staff supervision for system integration. The Director of Technology System Integration Services possesses a strong focus and commitment to change management and ITIL methodologies. The incumbent is critical to the tactical and strategic planning for university system architecture and is looked upon to set direction for computing infrastructure to ensure OIT and university goals are attainable.
Specific Responsibilities: Oversees the day-to-day activities for the university system integrations team and provides significant workforce planning efforts to ensure staff are appropriately utilized and challenged. Develops and recommends strategic roadmaps for all university computing and system integration functions. Serves as the technical expert for the area of responsibility. Identifies new technologies which will enhance the operational efficiency of computing and system integration within the Office of Information Technology.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or related field.
Required Experience: 5 or more years of hands on experience in system administration of MS Windows or Linux Servers and hypervisor systems such as VMWare. Management experience in an IT Department including managing support and server system administrator personnel. Experience integrating on and off premises systems and applications.
