Job Summary/Basic Function: Tenure track assistant professor in the department of Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport in Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology. Faculty are expected to deliver high quality instruction with emphasis on student success, consistently produce scholarship deemed appropriate for the position, and engage in institutional, professional and community service.

Specific Responsibilities: Have a passion to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology curriculum, such as Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, and other science-based theory courses in Kinesiology based on expertise and departmental need. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues are also essential. Participate in the supervision of student theses, independent studies, student advisement and implement community engagement and experiential learning activities within courses. Must develop and maintain an active research agenda, and provide service to the department, college and discipline.

Required Education and Experience: Doctoral degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in biomechanics and exercise physiology preferred, and ABD considered, but completion of the terminal degree must be completed within the first academic year.
