DevOps Engineer (All Levels)
2020 affected the live entertainment industry considerably. In-person concerts will return, but they’ll be complemented with virtual experiences; creating new meaningful fan/artist interactions while providing artists with new revenue streams. Seamless, innovative digital experiences not only emulate, but also enhance the magic of live music. Tailored insights generated from rich data sources will completely change the way the live music industry operates. Mandolin is looking for experienced DevOps software engineers to manage the process, scale, and security of our software. Ideal candidates will have confidence in their ability to work with developers and product managers, as well as leaders in the organization to ensure good communication and delivery in a rapidly changing and scaling start up.
The company is remote friendly for the following states: Indiana, Tennessee, California, Illinois, Missouri, Virginia, Texas, Maryland, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Utah, Florida, or Washington
What You’ll Do:
Build scripts, tools, and other services to improve developer productivity
Design and build automated systems to manage our scalable infrastructure
Build and maintain tools needed during release pushes
Work with product managers and quality engineers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
Work with stakeholders across the entire company to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
Participate in on-call rotations and demonstrate proficiency to debug production issues and provide fixes

What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of SaaS experience in software engineering, release engineering, and configuration management
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Mastery of multiple modern platforms: Docker, GitHub, Terraform
Strong experience writing build pipelines and experience with at least one CI platform such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis, or Github Workflows
Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (certifications are a plus)
Experience working with relational databases and cloud data warehouse (Postgres and Snowflake a plus)
Experience implementing SaaS monitoring and alerting
Experience deploying to production databases and handling backups and rollbacks is a plus
Knowledge of video encoding, live streaming, and chat technologies is a plus
Enthusiasm for the fast pace of a growing, changing startup environment
Ability to remain highly engaged and motivated while working with distributed, largely remote, teams
