MedInsight PRM Analytics, located in Indianapolis, IN, is a product group that operates in parallel with the MedInsight practice. Our products are used by health care administrators, medical directors, health care providers, and others to manage the clinical and financial risk in a patient population.

Position Summary:

This position is a security operations (SecOps) function and principally supports the security of PRM IT infrastructure and web-based applications. Through tool development and automation, this security automation engineer will work closely with the incident response, vulnerability management, and development within PRM to improve and refine their security workflows.

This position will be responsible for architecting and managing our security tooling environment while taking advantage of cloud technologies, open-source tools, and applications developed in-house. The goal of this position is to look for automation opportunities within the MedInsight security team, including within penetration testing process, forensic data gathering, metrics collection, and remediation tracking.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop new security tools and deploy them into the environment to facilitate security automation.
Architect and build custom solutions for vulnerability scanning, incident response workflows, reporting, and metrics.
Cover all stages of development from design through implementation.
Work with the development teams to integrate security checks and processes within their development pipeline.
Develop and maintain various automation scripts, plugins, and dashboards to streamline security processes within the organization.
Understand the teams' current security processes and recommend automation opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:

4-6 years of scripting & automation experience
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python
Working experience with automation servers like TeamCity or Jenkins
Familiarity with various database technologies including MSSQL and MySQL
Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
Ability to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations
Preferred Skills/Experience:

PowerBI or Tableau experience is a plus
Knowledge of security technologies including, but not limited to, intrusion detection/prevention, event correlation, firewall, antivirus, anti-spam, vulnerability scanners, secure application development, etc.
Industry security certifications (e.g., GIAC, OSCP, ISC2) is a plus
