As the Sr Enterprise Architect (SEA) – Financial Solutions Group (FSG) for Cox Automotive, you will be responsible for developing and evangelizing the technology platform strategy for the FSG (NextGear) of Cox Automotive. You’ll provide technology leadership for complex solutions that deliver new products to market.

Partnering closely with the technology and product leaders across the FSG, you’ll ensure that the technology platforms provide the technical and functional capabilities to deliver against FSG’s strategic plan. Collaborating with the Product Architects and Emerging Platforms Group, you’ll align the future state platform vision with near-term initiatives.

As FSG adopts next generation architecture and engineering capabilities, you will play a strategic leadership role in guiding the engineering teams including but not limited to:
Building Cloud Native applications leveraging AWS services
Leveraging continuous delivery tools
Micro-Services and Services first approach to building applications
Functional and Technical data partitioning
Multi-tenant applications
Blue-green deployments
You must be a champion in helping to create a culture of empowerment; knock down technical, cultural or organizational impediments; mentor lead technical staff; and work with engineering leaders to develop a healthy organization. Additionally, you will be accountable for leading technology due diligence and M&A efforts including developing cost estimates and roadmaps for onboarding. In pursuit of success, you’ll leverage your background in architecture, technology and business strategy.

This role reports into the V.P. of Cox Automotive Enterprise Product Delivery and Architecture.

Your Role:
Serve as the Enterprise Architecture technology leader for the FSG of Cox Automotive
Set the FSG architectural vision and direction for FSG platforms
Engage the Emerging Platforms Group in platform selections and developing proof of concepts
Champion ideas and can successfully advocate for them at an executive level
Collaborate with other architecture and technology leaders in driving complex, cross solution group solutions
Drive creation, adoption and reuse of enterprise assets
Provide leadership and oversight to complex solutions
Lead platform evaluations and make recommendations
Lead due diligence and M&A efforts
Develop planning estimates in support of annual budgets
Research innovative technologies that will enable product innovation
Build and manage a team of Enterprise Architects who provide stewardship over the Software technology portfolio.


10+ years of full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment
Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices.
5+ years of implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in at least three of the following areas: business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security disciplines, or operational disciplines.
Exemplary consulting skills and a track record of applying these skills as a practicing architect.
Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels.
Exemplary relationship skills and with a track record of being a trusted advisor.
Great time management and a passion for delivering on commitments.
Understanding and experience in development and project management processes and methodologies including common roles, responsibilities, and key deliverables.
Exceptional leadership, influence and mentoring skills
Broad technical aptitude and knowledge
Ability to understand what is happening in the industry in general, competitor or future competitor’s strategies and product roadmaps
Strong strategic planning capabilities (approaches and processes, tools, deliverables)
Knowledge of the Automotive industry and platforms specifically around Dealership operations
