Job Summary

Responsible for guiding the development of a agile team into an effective delivery unit. The Scrum Master reports to a Director PMO in the Project Management Office. The PMO leads and provide oversight of the organization’s strategic initiatives, thereby providing the enterprise with assurance that the desired business value of the initiatives are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities:

Accountable for guiding the development of various agile teams into an effective delivery units
Accountable for ensuring the teams process evolves within organizational guidelines and standards of practice
Accountable for facilitating scrum ceremonies
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal
Understand and be able to articulate strategic and product planning and goals in the team's environment and progress toward them
Supports Product Owner ensuring the product backlog is properly refined – prioritizing to maximize value and using creative techniques for elaborating user stories to be ready for the upcoming 1-2 sprints
Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition
Empower teams by contiguously defining and expanding green zone

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related business discipline
Recommended Education and/or Certifications

Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
ITIL V3 Foundations
ITIL V4 Foundations (Preferred)
Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt)
Required Work Experience

2+ Years relevant experience in agile and as a scrum Master
Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 05C

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in IN as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
