Renaissance Life & Health is seeking an experience Insurance Systems Business Analyst to join our growing team!

The Systems Business Analyst is responsible for supporting third-party and internally developed software. You will support and maintain internal admin systems, external portals and various ancillary systems as well as solve organizational information problems and requirements and assist in the design of computer programs, testing and recommending system controls and protocols.

What does this position entail?
-Works across the business to assess needs, determine business case, evaluate value, prioritize, and design approach to meet objectives and manage deployment
-Technical liaison between business users, IT, and technology teams
-Troubleshoots reported application functional issues concerning users, reports and batches and mitigates related issues
-Communicates user prioritization to IT and operational teams in alignment with Roadmap
-Discover, define, and implement data and workflow mapping across people and systems
-Use database and reporting tools to facilitate reporting and data migrations
-Maintains production configuration documentation on all internal systems and integrations
-Work closely with BU Stakeholders and System Architects to define business case and system requirements
-Facilitates functional design with and IT operations teams
-Coordinate and track requirements from inception to development, to testing, users sign off and final delivery
-Work with Development team to build/test the solution based on business requirements
-Practices test to code methodology; writing and reviewing QA and UAT test scripts
-Manage relationships with business teams for functional and technical support
-Create and present functional and technical design including data analysis to business team, and gather feedback
-Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases
-Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshop
-Facilitate review sessions with functional owners and end-user representatives
-Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management
-Managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance sign-off
-Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary
-Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements
-Demonstrates ownership and a sense of urgency when completing assignments, prioritizes tasks as needed and puts in the effort necessary to complete assignments on time consistently
-Lead deployment and implementation of large-scale system initiatives, including but not limited to automating current processes, implementing new systems, and upgrading current systems
-Understand and adapt to internal and external customer needs during initial sale, product implementation and support, and renewal processes
-Manage external system vendor relationships. Monitor and negotiate vendor contracts and work orders
-Seamlessly integrate system functionality with business needs through continuous analysis and interpretation
-Maintain strong working knowledge of Employee Benefit products
-Perform other related duties as assigned

What must I possess to qualify?
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or closely related discipline is required
-8 or more years of experience in systems integration, workflow modeling and optimization, and database administration in an insurance or financial industry setting is required
-Strong end-to-end understanding and experience with knowledge of system development life cycles. Experience in the implementation and analysis of Benefit Administration systems supporting the following functions: Claims, Benefit Enrollment, Billing, Workflow, Reporting and Document Production
-Strong Project Management skills
-Proficiency in Data Modeling, System Specifications, HTML, XML, and SQL programming languages and data base tools is required
-Ability to create and execute formalized test plans
-Must have strong foundation in business intelligence tools and Decision Support Systems
-Experience analyzing and interpreting information from multiple sources, resolving conflicts, and reconciling user requests with system functionality and business needs is required
-A high level of skill in written and verbal communication. Ability to direct teams and manage large projects
-This position is expected to be on-call to support business systems as well as available nights and weekends when necessary
-An understanding of current software languages and development methodologies
