Job Description

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Director, the Senior System Administrator will leverage both skill and experience to provide systems and network implementations as well as technical support within the fast-paced IT Infrastructure team. Here at RenPSG, we operate very quickly, and solving business problems with technology solutions while maintaining system uptime is imperative. In this role, you will be responsible for the support of hardware and applications while providing solutions to technical problems. You will be in direct contact with internal business customers along with external IT vendors and will need the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments. Skill in developing/documenting IT operational procedures and related operations framework will be key.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Experience working with Microsoft Azure or AWS
Administer Windows Server 2008 - 2019 and all related technologies, including but not limited to Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, storage management, and performance optimization
Troubleshoot network issues (WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN, and VPN) on Firewalls, Switches, and in public cloud environments
Develop plans for network growth and performance optimizations
Administer VoIP phone systems including call routing and phone setup
Configure and support Office 365 applications including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure Active Directory
Assist in the administration and migration of business-critical workloads to Microsoft Azure as well as maintaining existing Azure workloads
Develop documentation of systems, policies, and procedures
Establish problem resolution and communication procedures
Support and install Microsoft desktop operating systems (Windows 10) and applications (Outlook, Office, SQL, etc.)
Configure and maintain other 3rd party desktop applications, including Salesforce and 3rd party VOIP system
Provide support for all desktops, laptops, servers, storage devices, and network devices
Perform systems/software administration, backup/recovery monitoring, problem resolution, and change management
Support remote and traveling users
Provide escalated Help Desk support
Quickly adapt to changing demands

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
At least 5 years’ experience in System Administration role
At least 7 years’ experience in Information Technology
Proficiency in systems and network troubleshooting
Office 365 administration experience
Backup and disaster recovery experience
Understanding and implementation of process, security, standards, and change control framework
Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
Active Directory Administration Experience
Experience with Enterprise Email Administration
Ability to architect, maintain and optimize a complex hybrid enterprise network
Experience working with VoIP systems and optimizing voice traffic on a network
Leadership experience and willingness to mentor or train team members
Dedication to proper documentation of all infrastructure systems/resources
Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing technical environment
Strong consulting and collaboration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills; capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally; good phone skills
Ability to work among all levels of management internal and external to the company and deliver first-class customer service
Strong work ethic and self-starter mentality
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize based on business and technical needs
Certifications preferred: MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure (Microsoft), Network +, Server+, Security +
