About the Job
SmarterHQ is looking for an experienced Implementation Engineer who will report to the Manager of Technical Services & Support. The Implementation Engineer is responsible for owning the technical project execution for implementations of the SmarterHQ platform for our customers, some of the world's top retail brands. (This is NOT an internal IT or software development job.) You will work directly with clients and multiple internal teams on approximately 2-4 implementations at a time and will be the technical delivery owner for these client launches. This role is a full-time, salaried position with benefits based in our Indianapolis, IN headquarters office.
Own the process of scoping the client's website to understand the structure and availability of shopper behavioral data (e.g. browsing products / categories, carting and purchasing products)
Spearhead and drive meetings and calls with the client to discuss technical aspects of implementation
Configure client account in the SmarterHQ platform, set up SFTP/FTP connections and API integrations to 3rd party integration partners (mostly Email Service Providers)
Document and test all aspects of the implementation
Audit prospective client websites to determine scope of implementation during the sales process
Location: This job is based in Indianapolis, IN. To be an eligible candidate, you must currently reside in Indianapolis or a surrounding suburb.
U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident (green card) is required.
Knowledge of ETL solutions such as Informatica is a plus
Familiarity with online retail and e-commerce concepts
Impeccable client-facing verbal and written communication skills - clarity in conveying information and setting expectations.
Meticulous attention to detail and embraces a sense of accountability, as it is critical to ensuring quality implementations
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, calm under pressure, can-do attitude

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or relevant experience
