What You’ll Be Doing:
The Logistics Coordinator works in Spot’s 24/7 Customer Contact Center. This role is responsible for the tracking and confirmation of all customer shipments, as well as providing on the spot problem resolution for any customer’s need. The key responsibilities of this role are to provide clear and concise communication, troubleshoot customer concerns and to proactively monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction. Organization and the ability to problem solve is essential to this position.
Develop strong relationships with carriers, customers and Spot Sales Reps.
Work with customer contacts to understand their logistics needs.
Manage customers’ shipments and update Spot’s proprietary technology to reflect current status of loads.
Work with Carrier Managers and Carrier Sales Reps to ensure shipments are covered with the best practical option.
Communicate any transit issues to respective parties.
React with sense of urgency to solve problems and look for ways to improve operational inefficiencies.
Collaborate with team and manager to come up with ways to improve Spot Operations.
Execute daily operations based on what the level of service guaranteed by Spot.
Our Ideal Candidate Is/Has:
Ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred.
Must have excellent PC skills and ability to operate efficiently.
Ability to handle high volume of calls in a stressful, fast paced environment.
Must communicate in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to listen and "hear" the customer's concern so that the appropriate response is given.
Demonstrated ability to maintain professional conduct in a fast paced and stressful environment.
Ability to work effectively in a team, people, and results oriented environment.
Excellent verbal communications skills, including the ability to express complex concepts clearly and concisely using proper grammar.
Ability to handle difficult or irate customers professionally and calmly.
Effective listening and negotiation skills.
Well-organized with ability to set and execute on priorities.
Excellent typing skills and knowledge of PC applications with ability to work with multiple screens and interfaces.
Ability be flexible with scheduled work hours.
Must develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of third party logistics brokers.
Position requires extensive use of computer.
Ability to sit in one place for long periods of time.
