What You’ll Be Doing:

The LTL Account Manager focuses on managing the customer and carrier relationships, as well as growing their book of business for dedicated LTL accounts. This role requires strong communication skills, energetic personality, and a strong work ethic. The role will need to have a successful background in sales or account management, and an ability to thrive in a fast pace environment. The ability to comprehend complex situations and foresee what needs to be accomplished to achieve success is essential to this position. Possessing a self-starter mentality, who is able to provide ownership and accountability to this role is vital to achieving success.

Build and maintain active sales pipeline by qualifying warm leads, cold calling new accounts and growing existing book of business.
Focus on complex sales and customer issues the company is experiencing, and provide a results-orientated roadmap to overcome these objections.
Negotiate rates with customers and carriers.
Provide exceptional customer service, routinely going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers.
Evaluate customer and carrier issues and provide a solution to achieve success and alignment with current/future goals and initiatives.
Maintain monthly revenue and profit goals.
Collaborate with all departments and layers of the organization to provide the best experience that meets the needs of our customers and carriers.
Provide subject matter expertise in regards to the industry and its various sectors.
Regularly plan and schedule customer and carrier visits.

Our Ideal Candidate Is/Has:

Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management, Logistics or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ professional sales experience in the logistics or freight industry, 3rd party logistics LTL experience preferred.
High level analytical, organizational, and communication skills and the stamina to use them every day.
Experience in a fast-paced/startup environment is strongly desired.
Exceptional skills and experience in inside or outside sales, pipeline management, and customer/carrier relationship management.
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, problem solver who takes initiative.
Ability to succeed with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative under ambiguous circumstances.
Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
Experience working collaboratively to facilitate the delivery of world-class brokerage to our customers.
Proficient computer skills with PC-based desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel), email, and web-based meeting and presentation applications, as well as TMS.
Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays may be required.
