Position Summary

The Email and Digital Advertising Manager is the member of our Marketing team responsible for accelerating the organization's digital transformation by leveraging analytic solutions to deliver marketing automation and intelligence across the organization. This role is responsible for managing the email, CRM and advertising technologies and processes to guide strategies in acquisition, engagement and retention of audiences critical to the fundraising and communications success of United Way of Central Indiana.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

* Facilitate cross-functional and cross-organization collaboration by working with internal and external stakeholders to collect and interpret donor, volunteer and prospect data from a variety of sources.
* Analyze donor data sets to identify trends, root causes and brand improvement opportunities.
* Utilize Salesforce CRM and related suite of tools to capture, report and store information on diverse audience sets.
* Manages all email communications (donor updates, surveys, stories of impact, funding announcements, etc.) and maintenance of the organization's Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance.
* Personalize and automate email campaigns and journeys to create efficiencies and provide relevant and engaging content to recipients based on their unique relationship with the organization.
* Create dynamic blog copy to mirror email campaigns and ensure consistency of brand across multiple digital platforms
* Interpret online consumer and donor behaviors to inform future email journeys, digital advertising, website design, and search engine optimization.
* Work directly with digital communications & content specialist and marketing operations manager to activate a content strategy that drives audiences to action.
* Perform regular funnel analysis of marketing performance by product, tactic, campaign, channel and/or geography – measuring key metrics (unsubscribes, ROI, conversion rates, etc.).
* Places all online (non-social) advertising and monitors campaigns throughout project lifecycle to track key performance indicators
* Performs special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree with relevant training and experience is required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, statistics or related field is preferred. Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email marketing platform is required. Salesforce Email Specialist Certification and Google Ads and Google Analytics Certifications are preferred. Additional CRM experience preferred. Knowledge of the nonprofit sector is a plus. At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred. Experience in writing and editing content for email and the web is required and a demonstrated ability to generate reports and work comfortably with complex data sets are required. Proven experience working cross-functionally in a complex organization preferred.
